IIRC, a black screen on LCDs uses more power because the cells are swtiched on to block the backlight.

Just leave your SDA's and amps off for a couple years...that will save enough energy to make up for the Club Polk users with LCD's using Blackle.

You should see the 295 amp arc welder I have parked in the garage. Runs off a 50A breaker subpanel.
