Monitor 60 Speakers

Hello,
Is there a way to test these speakers and my amplifyer/tuner with an volt/ohm meter? When these speakers were new about 2 years ago, I remember there was good stereo separation between left and right channel. I just noticed today that the separation is not as it should be. I also think the balance control of my amplifyer/tuner is out of whack. I always had it set dead center. Now to get equal volume from both speakers, I had to turn the balance control almost all the way to the left and there was some improvement to separation but not enough. I don't want to ship out my speakers unless I know for sure that they have failed.
But strange as it seems, The right speaker still sounds much stronger then the left one. Any Ideas to determine where the fault lies? The speakers are spaced 6 foot apart and the listening area is 10 feet away.

I think I may have found the problem. I have a head, throat and chest cold and its affecting the hearing in my left ear. Here is what I did:

While standing in the center of the listening area, I turned around and faced away from the speakers. I could now determine that the strongest sound was coming from the left speaker. Now when I faced the speakers, the strongest sound was coming from the right speaker.
Now my next stop is to go over to WebMd and find some information on colds and hearing loss.
