I just got the call that they were not going to accept the offer we presented $105,000. So $107,500 is it, and the closing should be Jan 31st. They wanted to close on Jan 15th, but that is a little too soon. Acoustically the living room is pretty open for my custom SDA's. I am going 2 channel for at least a little while anyways. Here is the virtual tour link.

Wow, can't believe there are places you can get a house like that for only 100K.

It does need some updated but soooo much potential.

Yeah you can find good homes cheap. Here in Fort Lauderdale it would be be at least$450,000. Hopefully I can find work. My kids are up there so thats the main reason for the location (5 miles away from them), and the home prices are good. 2nd main reason for moving is I hate S Fla except for the weather, and the fishing!

The main part of the house is good, and the half assed pics are of the garage/basement conversion to an inlaw apartment. The 20x40 inground pool will be nice for the girls.

You gotta be leaving out some info on this house. I only live a few miles away and there's no way in hell you can buy that house for the price you listed. If so, I'll sell my house and become your next door neighbor.

Is this a fixer upper? If so, what are the values of the homes in the neighborhood?

    Hey neighbor:D
Thats pretty much the going rate. The in law apartment does need to be finished with some final things. Carpets are a mess. There are a lot of 3/2's for $82,500 in the same neighborhood. Plus this is a bank foreclosure. I have been looking for about 2 months now, and just took my time. What town are you in Early?

You got a great deal. Enjoy it.

The local job market sucks, but it depends on your profession. What kind of work do you do?

Got GPS? Yes I do. Thanks you guys for chiming in. People down here aren't like where I come from. I am country at heart. Hate the city. I like my door open for people to come in. I hope to have a little get together after settling in. I think I will like the people up there almost as much as the people in NE Connecticut:p:D

Amazing deal on the house, even if it is bit of a fixer-upr. I thought we had cheap housing here in Texas.

Good luck with the move and new job search. I'm sure your girls will love that pool in the summer.

Be sure to include in your final contract that the sellers are to leave the air freshener that's sitting on the bathroom sink.
