I wanted to know what the low frequency cut-off point is on the RM101 internal crossover. On the spec sheet under crossover it says 3.2 khz which I assume is between the woofer and tweeter. I have my sub set up the polk way with front speakers set to large and it sounds great, but I don't want to leave it this way if the RM101 doesn't have a low end crossover on the woofer. Those little speakers probably wouldn't last very long with the LFE signal running through them.

Set the AVR speaker size to small. Large should only be used on floorstanding or LARGE bookselves. Those are very subwoofer dependant speakers being that they are so small. Try the small setting and see how they sound.

The way you are explaining it, with the front set to small, is how I had my last system set up. After reading on this forum about the way that Polk suggests hooking up the sub through the front speaker outputs, I thought I would give it a try. I am more of a car audio guy and figured the crossover in these speakers would be the same as the one that comes with a set of components(with a low cutoff and a high cutoff on the woofer). I guess the crossover in these lets everything through to the woofer up to 3.2 khz.
