I just wanted to pass on a quick review to you guys about the BD-30.
I was going to get the Samsung 5000 dual format player but before it came out I was shocked to see all the good reviews about the Panasonic BD-30 at the AVS Forum and knowing the problems people had w/ Samsung players I decided the Panasonic would be the one even though it is Blu-ray only. Glad I did since the Samsung has its problems...

Loads movies real quick, sharp picture which some have put up against the Pioneer and the upconversion is great to boot. All formats passed through HDMI, PCM, no internal decoding and it's a profile 1.1

I cant recommend it enough

    Completely agree,
I have Installed all of the first and second/current players and this Panasonic is fantastic. Loading time gotta be the quickest one so far. It controls perfect, and it's picture quality is top notch.

Sony should learn something from them, there bdps300 player is terrible. it's so damn slow.
