    Dude,

Don't sweat it. Tell it that it's actually for me. Supporting the troops and all that. You just had to try it out first before sending it to me.

Make sure when you ship it to me, you insure for the full amount.

I have been reading that this amp likes 8 ohm speaks, but will drive 4 ohm no problem...

Or maybe all the reviews that I read , they are using 8 ohm speaks...

I will be using the 9`s.....but I am putting the cross hairs on something "different" , me thinks...!!

I thought tube amps didn't care about ohms do to their design, such as an impedance transformer on their output to convert their high plate voltage low amps to a low voltage high amp load.

Don't worry, there will be enough juice to drive the Lsi9. The KT88's will provide more punch than the SED EL34. To my ears, the SED's have great mid but seem to roll off both ends a little too soon. My gut feeling is that the KT's will be a better match to the 9.

If it is the socket, just tighten the screws that hold the socket to the chassis.
If it is the tube, then use a large needle or something similar to tighten the "spring" that hold the pins. Tube pins are often varied in size slightly. So, some tubes may not sit as tight, no matter what. In this case, just make sure the contacts are good, no sweat.

Man, I go through that every month when PMS kicks in. The weeks where that takes place, my wife invariably always asks why I am not sitting in my regular chair but in a chair up against a wall.

I respond very gently, "you've got to be kidding me!"
