How far would you go (or have you gone) to pick up your dream SDA speakers?

I want to see who would go the farthest, or who has the longest road trip so far to baby their SDA's all the way home.

Mine:
About 35 miles round trip for the SDA-1C's.

Seattle, WA to Concord, CA (~780 miles one way) for the SRS 2.3tl's. Mostly everyone I know thought I was nuts.
Polk SDA SRS 2
Polk RTA 15tl
Polk Monitor 7C
Polk Lsi9

Infinity RS-II (modded)
Infinity RS-IIIa (modded)
Infinity RS 2.5 x 2

Magnepan 1.6QR (modded)

240 miles round trip to get th 1B's

650 miles round trip when I got my SRS's; then repeated same trip to get the 1.2 TL's (same seller).

When Joe came down to get the SRS's from Quebec...that must have been over 2,000 miles.

1,100 miles round trip to Doro's for a pair of 1Cs. Of course there was a visit to Cars at Carlisle, Gettysburg and a couple of rounds of golf along the way.

Purchased my 1Cs in Hanau, Germany in 1989. According to GeoBytes, that's about 3646 miles, or 5868 km, from Northwood, NH. Of course, that's just for the one-way trip to Hanau.

Not SDA's but worth sharing anyway. The guy who bought my JBL's a little over a month ago traveled 1650 miles each way for them. 3300ish miles round trip.

Florida Keys to North of Boston. He drove straight through each way, no layovers either way.

Furthest I traveled for the only pair of SDA's i owned was 15 miles each way . :)

Furthest I travelled was to the garage to oversee delivery of SRT's in bound from California. I had complete confidence in the seller and prayed about the freight shipping it took to get them here. As it turned out I couldn't have gotten them here in better shape by doing the 6000 mile round trip myself.

I've had a few folks come from PA to buy stuff, and one from NJ. Another guy flew out from CA and picked up a tape deck, but he was actually visiting family in the area.

Wednesday, I am going to travel about 45 miles (which may take hours here in NJ) to Union, New Jersey and pick up my SRS2's then drive to my favorite bar have lunch and drinks. Then maybe get home and hook them up. So as I see it I will travel about a hundred miles or so.

My friend who I have recruited to help me has a Chevy Suburban and since he is a Jersey City fireman should be strong enough to lend assistance in loading and unloading them. Of course I will pick up the check for lunch will probabley be the cost of four RDO-194's, we drink and eat alot, but what the hell it will be worth it.

I did a quick 525 mile round trip with my son to pick up a pair of 1.2's not tl's. I will be upgrading the tweets after auditioning them in my room for a few weeks. I picked them up from polksda who lives in central illinois and I live in a northwest suburb of Chicago. Pleasant trip with my son and Dan (polksda) is a gentleman with a beautiful collection of music. All in all a good day and expect many years of great listening to these speakers.:D:D:D

I did my run for the 1.2 TLs with my son too. It was very enjoyable spending all that time as we don't get to spend much time together since he's become an adult.

You should seriously consider upgrading your crossovers. It make such a huge improvement is overall sound, tone and bass response.
