Specificly the B&K Reference 7270 mkII vs. Sherbourn 7/2100A, both 7 x 200 at 8 ohms. Im running a 7.1 LSi system. They are both around the same price, but inoticed that the B&K is THX ultra certified. Of course, being stupid, this label means something to me :). Anyone have experience with these products, or heard anything about them?

I'll go to say I have heard, Installed and had more success with B&K over Sherbourn. I honestly don't care for there products. Not my cup of tea. But they do make nice quality products.

You can't go wrong with either but if you ask me B7K all the way, not to mention B&K preamps are awesome. I would own them again and probably will.

Thanks for the reply. I just pulled the trigger on the B&K. I hope it sounds good.

It will sound good. Before the SDAs I had a full LSi setup running off the B&K. The amp will definitely drive the speakers. No worries on loud action scenes and a nice balanced sound for music

Too late but you made the right decision. I have nothing but praise for my B&K 7250ii. More power than I need, smooth and quiet.

There's one for $1400 on Agon. That the one you got?

I would think that's a pretty fair price, especially if it's in 9/10 Agon condition.

    you guessed it.

only reason i asked was one went on ebay for 860 the night after i bought it

    im like !!!!!!

but I received my amp and it certainly is in 9/10 condition.... you could say 10/10... there is absolutely nothing wrong with it. Also, the seller is an amazing guy, so I got over my initial shock of seeing one go for 540 less.

But thanks for the reply :)

Ebay is a crap shoot. One might go for $900, then next day for $1500. Also, there's really no way to ensure the ebay one is in stated condition. I've been fooled before on their, but Agon sellers are usually on the up and up. Never been burned by anything from Agon.
