I came across a ongoing 36 page thread at a Hong Kong audiophile website that displays some of the wares owned by Chinese audiophiles. Don't mind the text....just look at the pix

The front of the speaker says "Diatone"....we know that brand better as Mitsubishi. I believe the brand was phased out by Mitsu some years back, but it has revived the brand within recent years. Here's Diatone's Japanese website -
Whoops, wrong thread.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Apparently, Mr. Li is a manufacturer of knifes and he buys his music from overseas via cargo containers (!!) -
Geez, all I have to do to play some music is select which CD I want to play, pop it in and away I go. That guy has to select a CD, then select a CD player, the select a pre, then an amp, then some speakers, then some cables, and finally select which room he is going to assemble his system in. Too much work.

Thanks for reminding me of the most popular BS going on in this audio hobby. Sometimes, I just don't remember what is fact and what is fiction even though I have pretty solid electronics background.
I must print this out in A3 size paper and stick it on my bedroom wall so I can read it from time to time.Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin: -

Your bible maybe but what I want to know is what is your experience with the contents of your bible. -
If he listened to 5 LPS a day it would take him 109+ years to listen to all those LPs...not likely.
This guy is no doubt one of China's New Economic Free Zone Entrepreneurs--he's living in the south in that very area. Those guys can be a bit eccentric. I'll be in China next year, maybe I should drop in for a listen!
