Just watched this again for a second time. Watched it with three friends. Out of the four of us, only one hadn't seen it before. Apparently I'm not the only one who really enjoyed it.

I'll definitely be picking it up on DVD!

Will Smit deserves Oscar consideration(for a horror flick!) for this much like Tom Hank did.

I am thinking of picking it up on blu-ray next week. Haven't seen it on the big screen, how's the PQ? worth owning (as in it re-viewing value)?

    TIA

I don't remember and so can't comment on the PQ, but after all was said and done I ended up seeing it three times in theater.

And if it were still playing and someone wanted to go see it, I'd go see it a fourth time at the drop of a hat! :)

    well, the price is right:

    http://www.amazon.com/Am-Legend-Blu-ray-Will-Smith/dp/B0013FBS20/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1205553851&sr=8-2

so, I'll be owning this on Tuesday, courtesy of Amazon.

btw, the HD-DVD version is $18.99, a tad more expensive than BD version. Ironic, huh?

    I R Legend!

This ended up being such a stereotypical movie....the white people are the bad guys(notice you never saw a diffrent kind of creature thing), the black guy dies, and the hispanic chick saves the world.

    Good movie though otherwise.

You really, really have to look hard to find racism in a movie where there is none. It's sad.

I wouldnt say "racism" but rather political correctness.

No white people other than mindless cannibals and a black guy and hispanic girl save the world. I noticed it but it didnt bother me. If the characters are good I dont care what color they are. Wil Smith is one of my favorite actors and seems to be a hell of a cool dude and as far as a hispanic chick repopulating the world, well Eva Longoria could repopulate my world anytime!!!!

Besides, the movie sucked regardless who was in it. Plus, this is Hippywood - would seem kinda weird not having a PC movie.

You only notice it when it fits your argument. For the next 50 movies you watch write down who is the protagonist hero and write down who is the villain, and 49 out of 50 won't fit this nonsense. The one time a white person is the "villain" (and that's not even accurate, since it was a mistake borne of purely altruistic means) and minorities are the heroes you guys notice.

There's enough PC bullcrap in the world, you don't have to go searching for it.

    Brad....
I snag everything you say and run with it. But you gave kudos to Larry: The Cable Guy (Git 'er Dun). I don't know....

Maybe you should just stick to Ernest flicks. Or Mr. Bean..
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

I didn't care for the theatrical version, I haven't seen the alternate version yet.

BTW, did anyone notice the movie billboard with the Superman emblem inside the Batman emblem with a date and 2010 under it, Easter egg maybe? A Batman and Superman in a movie together in the future?

Well... no... but there's exceptions to every rule, ya? :)

    Also, Pwn :
Pwn is a leetspeak slang term that implies domination or humiliation of a rival, used primarily in the Internet gaming culture to taunt an opponent that has just been soundly defeated.

In Internet security jargon, to "pwn" means "to compromise" or "to control", specifically another computer (server or PC), web site, gateway device, or application; it is synonymous with one of the definitions of hacking or cracking. An outside party who has "owned" or "pwned" a system has obtained unauthorized administrative control of the system.

The word "pwn" may have arisen and spread as a common typo of the word "own," due to the proximity of the 'p' and 'o' keys on a standard English keyboard. [1][2] Alternatively, the word pwnage may have been created as a portmanteau of the words "pure" and "ownage," "perfect" and "ownage," or "powerful" and "ownage." Similarly, "pwn" may have derived from "powerfully owned," such as "you just got powerfully owned!" (shortened to "you just got pwned!").

Watched this last night, nothing too great, Smith did some decent acting, some sequences were a bit creapy but other then that, nothing special. It's too bad they didn't stick with the alternate ending, it was so much better and what was with the seriously cheesy CGI'd humaniods? Wow, that was some of the worst CGI work I've seen in the last decade.
