Finally sold my RTi12's and ordered my cherry B&W 683's, they were backordered for about a month at work but they finally came in. Ended up being $650 shipped for the pair with my discount. Man was it worth it, a totally different sound than my RTi12's. Now I am waiting on my HTM61 center and DS3 surrounds to complete my setup. I will always be a member here at Polk because this is where my passion started. Thanks for the support and info guys. Click to enlarge!

Your next step should be photography 101, looks like only half the speaker is shown.:) From what I see it looks pretty nice. Im hoping to buy a pair of 802ds one day. Congrats on your purchase though brother.

Like I've said before, B&W is one of the great manufacturers that uses trickle down technology from their higher end lines. The fact you can now get an FST driver at this pricepoint? Insane.

I LOVE the 683's, even a full retail.

    Cheers,
    Russ

right now I just have a denon 2307ci powering them via biamping. waiting for rotel to release there new hdmi processor that can do new audio formats and then I will consider getting that along with some amps. im also looking at the integra 9.8 which is getting through the roof reviews but 1500.00 for a processor is above my budget for now so I will probably go with rotel.

    Not to derail, but...

My neighbor has a couple of brand new " bee and double u`s " the she wants me to look at...I will be asking questions of you guys for guidance, and she said she has only used them a couple of times, as she is never home..I know this to be true...anyway she said she will sell them to me..

She also has a "stereo" that she wants me to see if it`s worth anything

She bought the speaks from a hi-end dealer in The City (S.F.), and payed alot (her words) for them , but will sell to me at a good price..

I will ask what a good price is latr....

Are Those speaks that you have real efficient ?
Does it take big power to get all they have to offer, or no ?

    Got any more pic`s ?

Man you guys are lucky, Im dying to try out a pair of B&Ws. Must..............not...............buy.................. but you guys make it hard. Speed now that you have the 683s up front are you going to run a full B&W setup. Or is the remainder of your speakers polk, Im curious as to how it would sound. Ive been wondering if I could get away with just 802ds up front and keep everything else polk.

Sweet man. I listened to the Cm7's and loved them on Rotel gear. Very nice.

    Good luck with them.

I have already ordered my HTM61 center and DS3 rears they are just on backorder. There are plenty of comparisons between the 683's and CM7's across the internet and reviewers always lean towards the 683's. I listened for myself in our showroom and i decided to go with the 683's because i felt that they were more full range for movies than the CM7's and the 683's by far have more bass to offer. Also who wouldn't want to get the 683's when you can get the HTM61 center that has an FST driver in it as well.

Hi Speed3. How do you describe the sound quality between the rti12 and 683´s . I am familiar with the rti12 but never heard the 683.The rti12 sound good but I will prefer a warmer sound with a little more detail. (I think that the problem with the rti line is that the crossover points are two low, this make the sound good for movies, but bright and without punch for music). Thanks
