although its just a temp. thing, its a sad day at Club Polk as far as this member is concerned, if you do not know why then there is not really alot to say in just a post.

Obviously, you can put me down on the "piss poor" side of things. Hopefully, he will not take his treatment in this matter to the point that this Club totally loses one of its most stellar people. If so its the Carver's forum gain.

I certainly have an opinion....ONE of the two participants has been on my ignore list for a while as I considered his posts to be completely worthless and didn't even want to waste the time to scoll over them.

Although I agree Jesse is one of the most valuable members of this forum, I also think that he needs to learn how to hold his horses.

I saw nothing he posted himself that was worthy of being banned. PM's are private message and to post someone's PM to use against them, the person posting the PM's should have been banned or temp banned and only that person. just my 2 cents.

Who gives a flying **** about the Carver forum?

Dumbasses continuing to fight and bicker via pm's - it's screams get a life. This isn't something to be upset about and loose sleep over, I'm sure Jesse isn't. Hell, he's probably going to have a very productive week away from the board. ;)

Don't you guys have something better to discuss? Banning happens, ask Demi.

    Cheers,

Yikes, F1 was one of the first to welcome me to the forum and give me some no frills straight forward advice. I agree he could perhaps benefit from a more tactful kindler/gentler approach at times but I didn't see anything recently that should have caused this action. I must assume that more must be going on behind the scenes than we see in the forum's public area.

The moral(s) of this story are:

    (1) Ignore the idiots
    (2) This is Polk's forum to run as they see fit ( we don't have to like it, just abide)
    (3) Don't let the crap spill over into PM's

Reread item#1 (I have issues with this too)....even if the entertainment value is astronomical, it's not worth it (liv4fam, Trigg, Cliff and CL35 being the obvious exceptions)

Do I think it's a pantload? Sure, but nobody got the permanent boot. Also, in light of recent events with SpecK and so forth....I can see both sides of the coin. What I'd like to see is some of the REALLY funny **** that used to be the order of the day here.

Well, if you owned Polk Audio, you'd understand why they have (and should have) the ability to run their forums however they want. This is their playground, and we're just the cats burying our turds in their sandbox. They can take any one of us out at any time for any reason. I think things have been pretty fair.

Both parties had involvement in this thing spiralling out of control. I will reserve my comment who I feel was in the wrong, but suffice to say it is in agreement with the rest of you. That said, it is the decision of justin to ban them, albeit temporarily. I am sure both would agree that they each had a role and if a one week ban is the decision then so be it. At least they will be allowed back and think twice next time about acting this way. Live and learn. In actualiy Iy find it quite amusing that Russman is trying to diffuse this with (God forbid) a little humor and the Jedi mind trick. But, all of this griping back and forth over the he said, she said is just contributing to the problem. Let it go.

Polk has an impeccable reputation. Farbeit from us to compromise that with childish behavior on a public forum.
