Im reading news that he was found dead on the 25th. Sad day in music, that was one of the first real bands I listened to as a kid (10ish years old).

    Quiet Riot was great live back in the day....never caught them during their more recent club tours....he was a character...lots of other bands couldnt stand him or to tour with him. Sad day....

    Ug, that would not be the way I would want to depart from the world. This guy was a rock star! There needs to be some flash and dramma to it like "OJ and his gang paid him a visit in a Vegas hotel room"

    I heard about that this morning from a buddy of mine. Wow. I remember the day that "Metal Health" came out and a friend had picked up a copy (on cassette) and we went cruising that night listening to it. I guess that was the summer of 1983 or so.

    Man this does suck. QR wasnt ever my alltime favorite band but they did have a ton of great music. Sad day for metaldom.

    Quiet Riot Lead Singer Kevin Dubrow Died of Cocaine Overdose
    Monday , December 10, 2007

    LAS VEGAS —

    The death last month of Kevin Dubrow, lead singer for the 1980s heavy metal band Quiet Riot, has been ruled an accidental cocaine overdose.

    Clark County coroner spokeswoman Samantha Charles confirmed the cause Monday after toxicology results were received Monday.

    Dubrow was found dead Nov. 25 at his Las Vegas home. He was 52.

    Quiet Riot was perhaps best known for its 1983 cover of "**** on Feel the Noize." The song, featuring Dubrow's powerful, gravelly voice, appeared on the band's album "Metal Health" — which was the first by a metal band to reach No. 1 on the Billboard chart.

    DuBrow recorded a solo album in 2004, "In for the Kill," and the band's last studio CD, "Rehab," came out in October 2006.

    It really sucks these things are so easy to predict, but it's almost always the case....

    I was wondering what ultimately happened to him as I hadn't really checked back into it yet. Man, that sucks but it's almost inevitable of what happens to some of those guys/gals from that era. RIP....

    It was probably intravenous(sp?) and that's easily done.
