I have a set of 11Ts, great little speakers. Well worth the money. It took a pair with four 12" woofers to displace them from my system.

I already have a pair. They are a great speaker for 2 channel and HT. $ 100 is a no brainer.

I think if you work back from the top, these were the second-best non-SDA speaker Polk made during the SDA era. Or fourth-best overall. Same drivers as the rest of the line.

The fact that these days they don't go for much always surprises me. Lots of lesser speakers with no particular history get more attention.

So, I went and got them today. They're in OK shape, cabs show scratches/chips but the drivers themselves are fine. The grills are OK as well, some pegs are missing and one of the Polk logos is missing. In any event, I hooked them up to my Onkyo P-308/M-508 combo and proceeded to air them out. For the type of music I listen to (hard rock, metal) they sound OK, but not quite what I had hoped. My Cerwin-Vega DX-9's still reign sumpreme - at least for my set up and tastes...so, the Polks will be for sale again...if anyone is interested hit me up.

I would have to say unless something is wrong with your RTA 11tl's. I don't think you could do much better for $ 100.00.

That's all I have to say about that.

There's nothing really wrong with them aside from needing a good refinishing. They just don't seem suited for the type of music I like. So rather than have them collect dust here, I figured someone else may want them.

I am interested if you still have them. I have Polk SDA-SRS2's for rear surround in a 7.1 system. I very rarely use them since I use mostly 2 channel. I am considering downsizing the rears.

If you are still interested in selling them, please email me at Warlocks1@aol.com. Thanks, Jeff

    My email address - mralarming1@yahoo.com

I'm located in WV, about an hour and a half from DC/B-more.

To anyone interested in them, I will ship them but would REALLY prefer them to be picked up to avoid any potential for damage and I am happy to hook them up so you can hear them in action as well. I will accept the highest offer.

Mralarming, good luck with your sale. However, you should know that this is not ebay, we do not bid against one another.

You got them for a hundred, so sell them at the same price here. Otherwise, you will probably have better luck CListing them or ebaying them.

I'll give you $100 shipped and you need to refinish(new veneer, replace logo, etc) them for me as well at your expense.

    That is my offer.

LOL, yeah for all that I'd take 'em out back and drop a few M-80's in them, light 'em up and put the video on YouTube....

If you want to make the forum members real happy, save a few M-80's for those Cerwin-Vega's and youtube it.

He's happy with the CV's fellas. He gave the Polk's a try & didn't dig them. At least he gave them a shot, formed an opinion, and went with what made him happy. He was nice enough to offer them up here first (as long as he accepts $100 from a fellow Polkie for them he's all right). Otherwise he's free to eBay, CL, or Agon 'em.

The day I hear a set of Cerwin Vega DX-9s out perform a decent set of RTA 11TLs will be the day I sell off all (of what I have left) and buy myself a Bose Wave Radio.

Sure, they sound good at low volume, and that's OK if you want to listen to them that way. Same thing happened with a set of SDA-2's I had. Great at low volume, crap with more than 50 watts behind them....couldn't get rid of them fast enough. Plus, the tweeters in the SDA's would cut out A LOT - I cut the highs WAY back and they STILL cut out. I don't use junk, either: Onkyo Grand Integra P-308/M-508, Sony TA-E77ESD/TA-N77ES, Pioneer C-90/M-90. Neither the RTA's nor the SDA's sounded good on any of them at modest volume. I really wanted to give them a fair shake, but for me they didn't cut it, and thanks to halo for recognizing that it's just my opinion. I will extend the invite to ANYONE who wants to come here and do a side by side comparison (actual real-world listening, not an argument over the internet) and if you can PROVE that the Polks are better than my C-V's, I will GIVE you the RTA's if you're correct and I will continue to live in ignorance...happily with my C-V's.
