O.K. I just can't do the in the ear thing. My ears will not cooperate and I can still hear the loud crappy gym music. So.....any recommendations for over the ear noise cancellation for the gym? We are talking serious workouts so they can't be too bulky or cumbersome. I was even considering the <GASP!!!> Bose QC3's but some reviews say the sound is muddy. I know I know ...:o

I wear a pair of Shure e3c's. Sound great paird with my Zune. Fit snug but comfy, never just pop out.

First off, this dumbass doesn't know how to spell.

Second, I've been using the Shure's at the gym for the last couple months and they work great. I can't hear a damn thing except my music. They stay in perfect regardless of what I am doing; running, lifting, biking, looking at women...

The in ear ones just don't stay in for me. I don't really like them either..in the ear and all..yuck.:p The Akg's look promising and I think they should isolate enough to get the job done.

Tried the AKGs at the gym today and they worked like a charm. They blocked enough noise and sounded pretty darn good. My only complaint is that the adjustable head band messes up my do.:p

Thanks. I am very happy with them.

Oh. Trust me. I am there to work out only but I wear my hair in a ponytail and the headphone strap pulls a strand up and I look like a rooster if I don't fix it. :D

You look like a rooster anyway....I wouldn't worry about it.

I tried the pick up at the gym thing and every time i walked near this girl she walked to the other side of the gym without even exchanging a word. :(

    I don't try anymore.

I just ignore them too.:p The funny thing is that I get more attention from the girls than the guys but for the most part everyone is there just to work out.

Edit- Don't give up because of one girl. You never know.

Don't ignore! It's not nice.

I'm not one to look great all sweaty....but some of those women at the gym soaked in sweat....jeez i'd take them any day....sweat and all! I just do my workout 7 days a week, mind my own business and I'll find someone eventually. In reality though, I wouldn't want a woman from the gym....she would ultimately just slow my work out down.
