I want something like the attached pictures. My intention is to cut them down to about 5-6 inch stands and use them on top of a bureau so they must be able to be taken apart. Wood or metal is fine, I have enough tools I can cut either. I found these on craigslist but they are just too far away from me to make the non negotiable trip worthwhile.
Thanks,
Mark

BaggedLancer, I bought some gear recently of a guy who had four short stands. I think they were wood, painted black. They looked like good quality and I don't think they were more than 12" off the ground. I'll pop him an e-mail today to see if he still has them and ask if he has any pix. I know he intended to sell them. I'll keep you posted.Alea jacta est!

A cup is about 5-6"...
Just fill them with stand -- wrap bottom with plastic (rubber band around the bottom to seal)
Turn it upside down, put speaker on top -- use two cups per speaker if you want to go high end...
Awesome stuff- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Or you could use a few of these.
