going for about $440 + shipping on Ebay (average). I made a mistake...my wife has the 660, not the 650. The 650 does not have Bluetooth...
The 660 does, but my wife never uses that feature...go figure. -
Screaming deal. I went ahead and ordered one! This unit has a large screen and names the street with distance not just distance to the next turn. No bluetooth. But at this price what a steal for now!
Thanks bdaley:eek: From the bottom it looks like a steep incline, From the top another down hill slope of mine. But I know the equilibrium's there! .."Faith No More"

This model does not support bluetooth which to many people is useless. Yes, it is a very good deal. I ordered one for my family.
madmax,
Dealnews has a link to Costco for this offer, too.

Definitely a nice deal. My sister-in-law works for Garmin and I got a chance to use one of these on a recent trip (although I think it was one of the earlier models since it did not name the streets, just said 'turn right' or 'turn left). It was very easy to use and had a nice, big touch screen. If I had the extra cash I'd be all over this deal. Maybe Santa will be nice to me this year and put one under the tree for me?

I have the 660 and the Bluetooth feature in my truck is basically worthless unless I'm sitting still. That's a great deal. If you want Bluetooth, get On-Star or a Parrot.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

I think Costco might have sold out these GPSs. I saw the same message following the link. -
Have the 660, and love it. I would also be very happy with the 650, because I rarely use the Bluetooth. One plus on the bluetooth model: the points of interest such as Restaurants will display a phone number and you can call ahead, etc.-Ignorance is strength -

Congrat, Slocookn.
My Nuvi arrived, too. I have run it a couple days, and it is working great. Now, I am looking for a portable dashboard. I don't like to hang it on the windshield.

Looks like the 660 will be available for $399.99 via black friday at BB.

Frank-
Neither of these units will give altitude. And really the only difference between the 660 and the 650 is bluetooth. So if you already have a earbud for your cell phone, and don't need to answer your phone through your GPS, and or your vehicle doesn't support Bluetooth, you won't miss bluetooth on the GPS. This is a rocking good price. I just bought one on Costco.
Their price is better than the price I can pro-deal directly through Garmin.
Like Beardog said, it's one of the best out there.

About the portable dash, the bean bag friction holder is excellent and by far the best way to swap around from car to car with no hassle: https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?pID=806
I use the streetpilot version https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=164&pID=6387. Less sexy, but it has automatic light adjustment thanks to a sensor, similar to the one on automatic dim rear view mirrors ... as well as a few other features the Nuvi can't match. Could care less about bluetooth because it's better to (a) have it with your car, or (b) use a good headset: much less ambient noise ... none at all in fact with a Nokia BH800 in my experience, YMMV. Also more useful when you're not using the GPS on routes you already know well. The one big advantage of bluetooth in a GPS system is to be able to call ahead automatically to a point of interest.
Thanks and yes, I bought this item from Amazon for much cheaper price. The bean bag friction holder works very well and very convenient. -
trubluluc,
Thanks for the reply.
I've already got a nuvi350, no need to upgrade.
