Hello guys

i recently ask you about a subwoofer, but now i have another big question.

i have Polks DB6500 and DB690, i want to buy the SR6500 for the front and back, but it is too much money on speakers, and i dont have the money right now, and its too much to spend for my accord..

but i can buy the MMC6500 & MMC690 right away, what do you think?

is it woth it to buy the MMC, or should i keep my DBs

im actually hapy with them, but if its a big difference between both maybe it worth it.

what would you do?

Can you afford one set of SRs for the front, then leave the rear speakers that you have?

    ^^^ x2

Get the SR's for the front and forget about the rears. Dont need em and theyll only hurt the overall SQ.

but the SR6500 are 600 to 750 DLS

is more of the double of the whole Momo Set.

    MMC6500 $160 DLS
    MMC690 $110 DLS

    both are $270 DLS

Maybe i can save the nessesary money and find the SRs maybe next year

should i wait, for just the front ones?

and actually im not that convinced for that price, and dont get me wrong, i know those speakers worth it, but im not sure if i want to spend that kind of money on the car.

i'm using the new DB series seps in my van while the Momo seps are in my personal ride. Am extremely happy with both of em. The DBs are great but if you can spare the dough, you'll love the momo's mids. And the tweets sound a bit smoother as well even without much EQ.

(both setups don't use rear speaks. Like what was said earlier, spend as much as you can on the front speaks)

im not unhappy with my DBs, and sice everyone here love the SR

i think i would wait until i can buy the front ones.

actually im about to buy the SR DVC sub, and why buying the momos now if i can buy the SRs later.

i found them on ebay on 550 DLS, so its not a exesive price, and i would leave the DBs in the back.

i just hope they really worth the price, becouse im expecting a huge difference over my DB6500.

and the SRs fit my accord? the momos and the DBs do fit properly.

wait wait wait, if u get the MOMOs dont leave the DBs in the back... your car wont sound good with 1 sr and 1 walmart speaker... just doesnt work, use 1 or the other.
as far as ebay, check and see if its an authorized dealer.

i get a little confused here

im planing on buy the SRs for the front, and leave the DB690 in the back.

then if I really really love them, I would buy another set of SRs for the back, but several months later.

Hey I've got a saturn wagon and for the rear tailgate speakers I've got 6x9 db's instead. I never have anybody riding with me, is there any way i can unhook those 6x9 that are in boxes and put them up front somehow? They sound awesome in the back and I'm sure they would really come alive up front.

Putting 6x9's up front is a good idea. More cone area means better midbass up front. The problem would be getting them to fit. The Saturns doors are pretty slim Im sure and I doubt there is enough depth to fit them.

And Im not a world champ. I came in 2nd. :(

i will put the SRs in the front, and forget about the momos..

i just need to buy the Sub SR124DVC, and the amp Alpine PDX-1.600, probably in a few weeks, (i will go to the states soon).

and then i will save money for the SR6500 at least for the front...

Well the thing is they're already in 6x9 boxes. Is there anyway I can put them up front and not have them all over the place when I'm taking curves? I think after I get off work today I'm gonna try different things and see what I can come up with and then I'll post back results of ideas I've tried.

I am also very curious of the difference in SQ of the Polk DB vs. the Polk Momo components. I know the SR is the ultimate, but I want to stick to this question. The Polk DB series I have both front and rear sound really good, but would the Momo's be that much different? I really like the 6750's and 675's I already have, but always looking for more. My setup is below in sig.

    Phil
Installed in 2005 Toyota Tundra DC:
    Replaced all factory JBL with:
    Pioneer AVIC-D3 GPS HU
Polk Audio C400.4 Amp powering all four doors
    Polk Audio DB6750 components - f/doors
    Polk Audio DB1000 tweeters - f/pillars
    Polk Audio DB675 coaxials - r/doors
    Memphis Audio tweeters - r/pillars
Polk MM 8" sub - mounted in Bazooka tube 100watt
Bazooka/Toyota VSE sub in under seat compartment
Aura Pro Bass shakers bolted to floor under front seats powered by Pheonix 75per RMS

No reason in particular. I was just throwing that out there. Why not the Alpine or Rockford Fosgate? Just curious. If I wouldn't do Polk that's what I would do. I'm really meticulous about having all your speakers, subs, and amps the same brand. Don't know why though, but I am.

The SR components are better than the Type X components and the RF Power series components...

And having everything of the same brand is just limiting how good your car really could sound.
