If Treitz would be able to pick them up with the other gear (I'll split the cost of gas with ya)
And Early will honor his previous price...
I'll think about it...

Well, Sid, let me tell you a story about those VMPS Tower IISE speakers....
As you know, my friend has your exact model 7U's, even down to the same finish. When they arrived, we conducted a brief A/B test between the 7U's and the Tower II's. I was expecting the 7U's to spank the VMPS' in terms of detail and clarity, midrange quality, etc., but it wasn't so. In fact, the VMPS' sounded equally as good as the 7U's. I was shocked. The difference was in the bass -- for the 7U's, the bass was actually much deeper and tighter in the small room we were in. Again, I was shocked. (I later realized the bass was loading up in the corners of the room moreso with the 7U's, so it was kinda artificial, but quite impressive nonetheless.) The bass on the VMPS' was "wider" or "fuller." Of course, we didn't go as far as tweaking the bass (i.e., pinching putty) for the room. So the bass from either speaker wasn't better or worse, just different in its presentation.
This meager "experiment" demonstrated to us that the VMPS speakers represent an incredible value compared to the 7U's.
The other thing to keep in mind -- If you'll recall, I used to trade out speakers every couple of months before I got my Tower II's. I ain't selling them anytime soon. I really appreciate the ability to dial in the sound I want for each speaker using the midrange and treble pots. I really haven't delved into pinching putty very much, but the fact that I can is very cool.
Sid -- if I had the space, I would have already purchased my friend's Tower II's to use as rear speakers. It would be like having subwoofers in every speaker. For the price, they can't be beat.
Let me know soon if you're still interested. I spoke with my friend yesterday and he's contemplating holding onto the VMPS' to serve as his HT fronts, but since he hasn't totally commited to doing this yet, perhaps I can pursuade him to sell them to you.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

I will have no problem picking them up for you Trey. I'll empty out the [work] trailer and that way we won't have to worry about the elements. The trailer has a kick a$$ suspension and I've carried Carver amazings from Fla. and my whole rig to and from this years Carverfest with absolutely no problems. Not even so much as a scratch on anything.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? AWESOME
Do you need the boxes for the 7u just in case?- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
I dunno. I'll have to wait for Early to chime in.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

No. My friend has the boxes for the 7U's. It's nice of you to offer, though.
Sid -- I still have to confirm with my friend if he's gonna sell the VMPS speakers. If so, they're yours. I'll talk to him tonight. I'll also try and get more pics sometime this week. I'll have to arrange a time to go over his house and snap the pics myself.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub
