My good friend who is interested in selling both of his two channnel systems and other assorted items. However, he has no desire to ship the gear, hence the local interest check. Here's what he has along with special, no-haggle Polk pricing:

VMPS Tower IISE speakers 7.5/10 condition - $600 (see pics) **sale pending**

Odyssey Stratos Amplifier (standard version) 8/10 condition - $725 **sale pending**

Promitheus TVC Ref 4 7/10 condition (it's been painted black) - $450 **SOLD**

Bohlender Graebner 5-hybrid ribbon speaker (4 floorstanders + center) for HT 8.5/10 condition - $500

Shanling T-100 tube CDP - 8/10 condition - $900

Shanling 50-watt tube monoblocks - 8/10 condition - $1,200

Tyler Acoustics Taylo 7U's - 9/10 condition - $1,750 **sale pending**

Denon 2900 DVD player - $250 **SOLD**

He's selling off most of his gear and going in a completely different direction.

PM me if you're interested in any of his stuff. Polkies have first shot at this great gear before it goes to the 'gon.

I'd be interested in the Odessey. Can I get specs on it? Maybe a pic or two?

Sine it's my friend's unit, I don't have pics, but it has the silver top and faceplate. Vey nice looking compared to the basic black. It's 150 wpc. I just checked -- it has the upgraded capacitance, as well.

That's the plan. I'll be listing most of his gear on the 'gon very soon. I need to snap some pics. He doesn't want to ship the speakers, though.

He also has a 10 ft. pair of Audioquest CV-8 speaker cables with 72 DBS for $425 [**sale pending**] and a set of 3 ft. DH Labs Revelation ICs RCA for $200.

Ask him if he still has the AQ-CV8's. I'm only interested if they are the 10'+. Thanks bud. Oh, can you ask him what kind of condition they are in and how old the battery pack is please?

My friend purchased his CV8's about 6 months ago off the 'gon or ebay. He is the second owner. I don't know how long the original owner owned them. They are in what I would consider to be 8/10 condition. So they're basically in the same condition as the ones you own.

Good enough to me. I love what these things do for my rig. PM me your info. again, as I have deleted since you have gone to HT :p.

Seriously, I don't have your info. anymore. Also, if those Taylos don't sell soon, LMK, as maybe we [him,I,you] can work something out. I promised myself I wouldn't blow any more cash until I got the Taylors, but these cables I'll make an exception for. :D

    PM sent, treitz3.

I took a few pics of all of my friend's gear a couple of days ago, but they all came out blurry. Had my camera on the wrong setting, so I'll try again later this week.

I dunno. I gotta open it up this weekend to check.

Why? Do you want another one?

Are the red boards worth more $ ?

    Maybe

Red Boards are worth what you are asking

    Green boards are not...

Red Boards have a MUCH better circuit board, thicker, better traces

The wiring is also upgraded along with the capacitors...

So is any of this actually for sale, or is it still just a circle jerk?

Original post updated. Two items sale pending to Polkies...

I should clarify one thing -- items except the speakers are available to be shipped.

That's OK, you can deliver them to me. :D:p

I love road trips, no problemo! However, this weekend is out of the question. Maybe some other time.

BTW, I am no longer after the speaker cables. They are still up for grabs. They are real nice sounding cables and they would do the naysayer's some justice.

But act quick, because I might just find the $$$ for both.

Yep. It's a universal player, so it does SACD and DVD-A.

PM me and we'll work out the details if you're interested.

    Got your PM Early. Thanks!

You know what Polkies? I've already had two or three sales with this cat [disregarding what sales are current] and all have been flawless. Great communication and when EarlyB rates things as he does, it has always shown up at my door better than described.

    Rare nowadays it seems.
