Hi,
I want to run two mono block amps (ADCOM 565) with my 2.3 SRS speakers (with the pin/blade connection). I got some great help in another part of the forum that said to contact Ken at Polk (see below). Any help on how to connect the two mono blocks, whether through grounding the two chassis of the amps, or instructions on how to make my own AI - 1 cable would be most appreciated.

Wait for hearingimpared to chime in, and listen to him. He is running 565's. Also try searching for GFA-565, and SDA. Look for hearingimpared comments.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

It's also in the threads. Did you search for it?

Here's a link for the Polk document.

You can tie the negative speaker terminals together on the 565's to make them common ground. Be sure to use very heavy guage wire and nice connectors. You CANNOT however do the same with the 555's when run as mono-blocks.

565's and 555's run as mono's are two completely different designs, hence you can tie the 565's together but not the 555's.

No need to. I'd still wait for Hearingimpared to chime in as I'm just going by his situation. :)

I built one and know there is a thread on it, there was also another member who recently built one and used a toroidal transformer that got excellent results, I would suggest using the search function on AI-1 cable or something such.
