Well a little update, I will be getting my pioneer receiver tomorrow and I have new infinity speakers. I am just trying to figure out how and were to put my rear speakers. If anyone can shine some light on how I should put them please post something.

I think the placement of the cat is a little off. Turn it about 40 degrees for a more sonically accurate experience.

? Harmon Kardon AVR 55 (dead; replacing with Onkyo TX NR-616)
? Polk RTA 11TL's (FR and FL)
? Polk TSi200's (RR and RL)
    ? Polk CS10 (Center)
    ? Polk PSW-350
    ? Grado SR-60i Headphones
    ? Fii0 E5 headphone amp
    ? iPod touch (8 gig)
    ? iPod Classic (80 gig)
? Mac Mini (as media server)
    ? xbox 360

If you could... i would move them farther back from the couch, and maybe not at such an extreme toe-in.

Maybe shoot for 4-5 feet to start, and make sure you set on your new AVR how far away they are.

Of course, there may be space limitations, there usually are, but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I have my rears right up pretty much ON my couch right now, but that's only because there's a WALL right there. I'm going to have to end up wall-mounting them high up on the ceiling and angling down in an attempt to get more distance going on.
I don't read the newsssspaperssss because dey aaaallllllllll...... have ugly print.

Sounds good, I will have to try getting them a bit farther back. It is hard to have all this going on in a bed room lol.

Another thing, i can't really tell from the pictures, but make sure the mains are a little bit in front of the desk and everything else between them. Having them perfectly in line like it looks like they are might cause some weirdness.

I would do as concealer mentioned and IF you can, try to shift the desk slightly over to the right so that the LF is not obstructed by the couch....

Maybe put the sub in the empty space on the left side of the desk?

That's your preference. I usually aim mine. But VERY slightly. I'm not looking to beam them directly into my face, because that actually tends to diminish the soundstage, in my experiences. At most, i MIGHT have a 3 degree toe-in on my setup. Experiment and see what sounds best to you. :)

I would actually leave the sub in the corner... but pull it away from the walls a bit. Sub placement is tricky, though, so that's entirely subjective.

Well I am pretty happy with my new pioneer receiver seems to be a little more powerful than my yamaha even though it is the same rating. I think I need a better powered sub though.

Using a desk as an audio rack is probably a sin too. I agree with others, tidy the place up. Change the wall color too.

I wouldn't know personally, but google maps says 1 hour and 8 minutes. I figured that is pretty close to one hour.

Google maps is full of crap. 25 minutes up Rt 55 to Rt 42 (North-South Freeway). 5 minutes on 42 (not even that long probably around 2 minutes) to the I295 interchange. 15 minutes up I295 to the first of 3 exits that will put you in Mt Laurel. The 3rd exit is the Moorestown exit and that will take about 25 minutes from Rt 42. Depending on where you are going, it shouldn't take more than 55 minutes but probably around 45 at the average speed of 65-70 MPH that traffic moves on any one of those roads.

I drove it every day and if you decided to do extra-legal speeds, Moorestown to the Vineland area could be done in about a 40 minutes with no traffic. I used to leave Moorestown at about 6:30 PM and be in Glassboro, NJ (about 2/3rds the distance) in just over 20 minutes with moderate traffic
