I am having great difficulty getting any surround effects. I have an Onkyo surround reciever. My room is a rectangle and not large. My soundbar is under a wall mounted plasma tv. Below the soundbar on a table is my reciever. I have the surround level up to 6.

Can you take a pic of the room???

Do you have anything tall next to the plasma and Soundbar????

Do you have an open area to the left or right?

Did you set the distances for the rear channels?? If they are not set right you may not hear the rear part of the sound at all??

I am having exactly the same problem. I too am using an onkyo receiver. There is nothing to the left and righn and think the problem might be the speaker settings. I am a bit confused since the sound bar is the same distance away for all the speakers. The room is 20 ft across and I set the distance on all levels at that distance. It does nor sound right at all. I was also a bit confused by the cross over voltage that the onkyo receiver is asking for. Any help would be appreciated...Thanks
