I've seen alot of amps, and these are absolutely beastly...

Build quality is indescribable on these bad boys....

Getting them warmed up as we speak --

More to come

Aw, man. Can't wait for your review. Those amps are gonna power da **** out of your Taylos. Control and clarity will be off the chain (do young people still say that? I used to be hip once.:( )

I think these might be amps too.

Not mine, but not too far from here...

You can see another ML amp hiding in the back left in this photo, too:

    Neat --

    Similar design

each amp has pretty much the same layout -- just twice

Four transformers total --- 24 total capacitors....

    Beastly stuff

You didn't get them from Odyssey Audio? I thought you were getting them from Odyssey.

Anyways, looking forward to a review of the amps - a pair of Stratos Extreme or Parasound JC1 might be in my future.

I was THIS close to pulling the trigger on them when that VTL TL 5.5, that came and went, came along and drained the money for those bigguns. I'll bet they have no problems driving those Tyler Acoustics Taylo 7u like the Stingray did!

What problems did the Stingray have?

I'd think the Tylers would be a very efficient speaker.

I just couldnt stand waiting on Klaus anymore --

Less money, faster service, same warranty - no reason to go with Klaus when his service isnt there...

And thanks guys -- so far I really like them... and have no problems in any way giving the Taylos a nudge ;) haha

the Taylos are pretty effecient, but they are 4 ohms and like any speaker do better with more power --- so, not exactly the most effecient...

And fwiw -- those of you wondering about going with Odyssey in the future...

If you are skeptical about this amp, the build quality is just astonishing -- it really is.

The heat sinks built on to the side gives for a very clean appearance, and the heat sinks are rounded off - not sharp, so it looks very clean and professional.

Its STOUT, 1/2" thick front and back plates --- just everything is over built and built to last... and obviously a very clean, well thought out interior to go with it --

Do not hesitate in the least bit, and not to mention they sound phenominal...

Trey can you describe the sound, warm, cool, dark, detailed, tubelike, etc.

    Thanks,

Well I personally like a brighter sound -- always have...

So my overall system sound is of brighter nature - obviously, I'm a rocker

But Odyssey amps are a garbage in, garbage out amp - really don't add or take away anything...

So its just a very precise sound, on the warmer side - easilly... all Odyssey amps have around the same sound signature...

    Thanks guys...

    Thanks

I like everything so far -- definitely cant complain

I think I finally got the Monos warmed up and ready to roll -- after about 4 hours of constant action tonight at extremely high volumes -- lets just say they got a little hot ;)

    But....

Just to throw this out there, channel seperation is incredible now.. much more so than before -- and depth is surreal... (front to back staging)

The Stingray can drive alot more speaker than the Tylers, you just have to know how to use it...............;) for a full range speaker it needs to be set to the ultra linear mode for the volume these yoyo's want, I even drove the Amazings to an acceptable level with the Stingray........some people just do not know what they do not know when the post something........

Enjoy your new amps Trey, they look awesome.
