M&K! I like their subs, they have the ac. for music and the punch for ht! and most of their subs go below 20....but for a small sub? infinity? velodyne? etc...they'll workDamn you all, damn you all to hell.......
I promised myself
No more speakers. None. Nada. And then you posted this!!!!

Rel acoustics, Velodyne SPL or HGS series, Sunfire True Sub or JR. (hard to set-up for music), Paradigm, Def Tech Super Cube , etc etc.
Do some Demoing and Have fun only your ears can tell you. -
What's your budget Joe? Ballpark it, $300, $600, 1 large? More?

Thinking about HGS-12" or CHT-15", But afraid of something too large to tune to rest of my setup.
Buget is under $1500 or so.

Wow if your Budget is 1500 you can get into some really great subs in that price range. You should definitely go listen to the Rels because they are very musical and sound absolutely amazing right out the box. B&W also makes incredible subs at that price range.

Sunfire Audio True Sub!!

Thanks all, You're all QUICK.
One more thing, Like music. Bass that I can feel in the chest. Also feel I'm missing something when it comes to explosions. Movies like the opening to ToyStory2 and Lethal Weapon4 Gas truck fire ball, The Matrix building explosion.
Sorry to re-ask, But any change.

I would also give serious thought to the Paradigm Servo-15. The best sub that I've demoed and can be had new for under 1500.

I like a ballanced sound field and would stick to a Polk sub to match the Polk front and center speakers. The PSW 350 is a perfect match for the 800i and 400i.

What's your price range? If you're looking for a small sub, the best looking one I've seen(small sub) is the sunfire. Very tiny with 2 woofs and a super plate amp. If you're looking for subs around 1-2k, consider the Paradigm Servo15 or the PW2200. The paradigms are big but they sound very nice.
You don't need a Polk sub to achieve a "balanced soundfield", but if you really want to go Polk try checking out the new models. Looks much better than the PSW350(specs and looks).

wth the budget gotta go ReL..........Strata 3......sealed, clean, musical, powerfull, dual preamps........10 inch, hits down to 20hz,can be setup for both music and movies seperately,I can't see any reason not to at least give a listen.
I forgot to mention offered in cherry.......walnut........black ash........just another reason to go RELDan
My personal quest is to save to world of bad audio, one thread at a time. -
Thanks to all,
Well after moving / buying a new house, room size change and all.
I have decided on the Paradigm Servo-15, must say very impressed.

Edit: Missed this entire thread while bow hunting. Didn't realize it was after the fact and you had already got the Servo-15. Enjoy it, it's a good sub.

Are you kidding me?
SVS PB2-Plus for $1,200
Twin 12" ultra high output dB12 Plus drivers.
900 watt digital BASH amp.
Three huge dual flared 4" vents.
Multiple tuning points with custom SS filter and EQ settings for each point.
Continuously variable 0-180 phase control.
115 pounds of rock solid muscle and finesse - built like a brick **** house.
This sub will stomp into dust anything in its price range. It will play flatter, cleaner, louder, and lower. Period. Better for movies, better for music - just plain 'ol better.
Even in the stock tune, the PB2+ is strong (rising response with room gain) to 21 Hz in-room before the SS filter kicks in. And it can dig even deeper to 15 Hz in the 2/20 tune with still power and SPL to spare.
Don't look elsewhere - SVS is the final word in subs in this price range."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

Doc, look at the dates on the threads. I doubt SVS was even making boxes then. Certianly they weren't as well known as now.
Edit- well, your edit just barely beat my post. -
May not be too late... Note that dj7 said "have decided", not "have purchased"...More later,
