alpine iDa-x001 probelem with ipod

I was wondering if anyone on here would be able to help with the problem i have encountered. I rescently purchased a new car audio system includin the ida- x001 head unit and was very happy with the results. I was running my ipod through the alpine chord that connects to the usb and everything was sounding great. Until i returned to my car and now the usb chord wont detect and ipod, but it will however detect a jump drive or other usb device if i plug that in instead. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
