Glad to have been of help, Scott. It was fun and I enjoyed hanging with you. We'll do it again.Political Correctness'.........defined

Nice work.............I told you, you were in good hands with Jesse. Anxious to hear your impressions. Should take the 2B's to a whole new level.

I think I will pull them out tonight and put them into the mix. They have been under moving blankets for @ 45 hours with music playing. Diana Krall now, the Bob Marley bass lines got a bit tiresome after about the first 12 hours.I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

Congrats on a job well done,

I love how music can brighten up a bad day. -
The gurus know what they're talking about! DK and F1 gave me some great advice on TL'ing my 2B's earlier this year. I'm lovin' em!! (Although they're boxed up along with most everything else I own at the moment waiting on a move next month.) Anyway, here's a couple of threads from when I did mine:

Hope you enjoy your TL'd 2B's as much as I am!

Thanks for your post and info on the 2B TL's that you have. I am also experiencing many of the same sound qualities that you experienced. I am beginning to believe that it is the solid state pre and amp that are presenting the bright and forward high end and midrange sound. I am also hearing much more detail than before and better separation of instruments. Some of my CD's do sound really good but some just don't sound like they did before or to my liking. My source has a tube output stage but I don't think it is enough to over come my less than adequate home theater amp.
I am looking to upgrade to a tube integrated in the not to distant future. I hope that will get me to the sound I am looking for.
Stupid Hobby.

Looks like a Yamaha Integrated."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Yamaha RX-777. I got it for free. It was going to be thrown away by on of my clients. Works fine but I don't have a remote. It has a CD direct to amp button that eliminates a lot of the signal path and you can notice a slight improvement. I have never really just sat down and listened to it but maybe I will.

Where can I get the info on these crossover mods?
Thanks! -
Hi All,

As someone suggested in the other thread, use the search function. Maybe there's a detailed "how to" thread for the speakers you plan to update.
You need a list of parts (caps and resistors is what people usually change), which you can get from the sticky with schematics in the troubleshooting forum, but it is also recommended that you look at your crossover, since some vintage speakers had several versions.
