Justin - We are still looking for these speakers. Sorry for the delay. Worse case, you get a new pair to demo.

No worries - thanks for the update. I'm having trouble anyway with my amp, so maybe I'll have it fixed or have a replacement by the time the demo speakers are ready.

The original pair is officially MIA according to Polk.

I'm waiting on another pair to be shipped so we can satisfy the original demo thread.

Jwhitakr - PM me your shipping address so I can confirm it with what I forwarded last week. You have your problems sorted out? If not, we can jump you for now.....

Is it too late to get in on this? I must not have been paying attention when it first went up. Guess I didn't miss much given the thread history here.

Can I be added to the demo list? Something along these lines would would work great in my LR.

    I have stick-to-it-iveness! (sp?)

I'm not particularly concerned, but just curious how things have developed since the last post on this topic.

If the powers that be at Polk headquarters would entertain the thought of this speaker being demo'd at this year's Carverfest, there are about 30-40 folks that would get there first listen on them. If you could change the names on the lineup to where these speakers get to me for the below dates, then Polk will get some free demo time. If this does not screw the whole scheduling/demo up, then cool, if not I won't be offended [as if you care] at all. Just throwing it out there.

We will have plenty of SS and tube gear to hook them up to. The dates for this year's event are September 10th-15th. I still have the DSW MicroPro4000 sub woofer that will be demo'd at the event as well [unless you guys request it back before then]. Sorry, but the RTi's aren't going to make it this year. Anything else that they would like to be represented for Polk, just let me know. All gear will be going up in an enclosed trailer with a pretty damn good suspension, FYI. I'm gonna have some room for extra gear this year and I wouldn't mind hauling it to the event.

There are also some local Polkies that might could bring things down as well. Anyway, like I said....just throwing out there. ;)

I second the question. Not that I'm complaining or anything about something that's free. But...it's been almost a year and I think there's a lot of folks on the win list that haven't even had the speaks in their time zone.

My understanding is that Canadian folk need not apply, but if for some reason the moons and stars align, please count me in.

Now that I'll stop dreaming, I'm really curious about the VM line.

(skip background if you don't care)
For a little background, I currently have an RM10 set with a PSW10 in a 18x13 room, 99% HT (movies/games) and 1% music. I recently purchased a pair of the RTi A5s but regret to say I wasn't impressed ENOUGH for the money I was paying. I definitely had a wider soundstage but the rest was fairly marginal improvements compared to my current set-up. Again, let me repeat, they were better but just not by that big of a factor to spend extra $$ on. (sidenote, music was definitely night and day, the improvement on music was definitely worth the $$, however, this set-up rarely gets music thrown its way)

This led me on to do some extra research into getting towers for my set-up that weren't the traditional huge boxes. Hence, my curiousity on the VM line.

Is there anywhere in Canada to demo these units?
I have been looking around but can't seem to find a set-up from the people that carry them. I've been to about 4 different dealers now (2 big, 2 small) and all of them carried either the RMs or RTis. Please let me know if there is anywhere Polk knows of that has these up to demo in Canada.

I forgot to mention, I'm in Oshawa (Toronto area), so if anyone knows of any retailers carrying the VM30 (and has them on display/demo), please let me know.
