I'm not sure, maybe, send it again. I had too many emails after vacation and too much work to touch everything.

Whoops, I got mixed up. I thought this was the OWM5 thread.

Either way though, yes, I'm ready for the VM20's!! I've been looking forward to demo'ing these for a while now.

Sweet!!!! I've been really looking forward to checking these ones out! Depending on how my experiences with them go, my Mom might be getting a set of three VM20's for her HT setup this Christmas.

I've been slowly piecing together a new HT for her to replace her old tired Sony HTIB. I've already given her my Onkyo 606 that I wasn't using anymore, along with my Cambridge DVD89...but the speakers still need to be upgraded. The VM's would be a great match in her living room aesthetically...Can't wait to get my ears on them!!

Sweet! I'm looking forward to spending some time with these. I'll basically be able to give them my undivided attention for the whole demo period too, given my current state. I'll thoroughly put them through their paces.

I'll give them a run in my 2 channel rig, both with and without the sub, and try them as front channels in my HT...and possibly use one as a center channel for a little while. Swapping cables out with this cast on my leg should be an adventure...lol

I might have to jump into this demo. I am having a terrible time deciding what to do in my living room. I have my 2.3's surrounding my set, but really don't want to use them for games and tv. One of these just seems to make sense.

    Doro,

I just received the VM20's! I'm gonna let em warm up for a little while, then I'll give them a run in my 2 channel rig for a while, before I move them to my HT system.

    Mark,

I haven't had my computer for the last few days, or I'd have told you sooner...but one of the VM20's sustained some damage in shipping. The "cap at the top of the cabinet has come completely unglued, and comes right off, and the bottom cap is also loose. It looks like it would be a real easy fix...with your blessing I can just re-glue it myself...or if you'd prefer I'll send it back in for repair.

Let me know how you want to handle it. I'll get some pictures of the damage up here in a little bit.

The one was already loose when I had it as well. I had forgotten to take a pic an send it.

I see. Well, I'm sure this is definitely impacting the performance of the speakers...especially due to the passive radiator design. I had them hooked up and playing earlier, and they seemed to be cutting out every now and then too...though I didn't rule out that it was due to something else. I'll do some further trouble shooting on that issue tomorrow.

    I will say...

These are some beautiful speakers. The finish on them is excellent, and would complement just about any modern TV or piece of audio/video gear on the market. The stands are also very attractive, and integrate very well with the speakers.

I won't really say anything on my listening impressions yet though.

Yes, go ahead and fix it. The shipping between a couple dozen folks eventually takes its toll on any loudspeaker.
