DC/MD/VA Area Members - Demo the Polk Audio MicroPro Subwoofer

I'm wondering how many local area Polkies have either a Home Theater or subwoofer augmented 2CH system and would like to do an in-house demo of the new......

Polk Audio MicroPro 1000 Subwoofer

By local, I mean DC/MD/VA. Delaware and West Virginia are not local.

If you're a long time member and I know you personally, you may pick up the product at my house, catch a meal and enjoy some tunes. However, most of these are being handled by the demo members by in-person handoff. Just get active in the thread and see what's going on.

The current demo participants have been AWESOME in handling things on the ground and it's working out great! Thanks guys!

If not, no big deal and the meal option is still open but either way, you will have to meet face to face for this demo. This is not a $50 interconnect and we'll have to exchange some personal information. Everything is completely private and confidential.

The main requirement is that you have to complete a Polk Audio Review Questionaire with your thoughts and comments. I will provide this document.

You also have to post your review in the product pages for the actual subwoofer, which is conveniently linked right above you :)

If you are interested in this idea, contact me here or directly, mln@polkaudio.com

Demo List:

Strider(Ben) - Complete
MillerLiteScott(Scott) - Complete
Beekyman(Ervin) - Complete
Jdhdiggs(James) - Overseas
Jtgranby(James) - DEMO
Cwhyte(Chuck) - Open
John D Strong(John) - Complete
Frank840(Frank) - Complete

Strider is first up on the block, thanks Ben!

Just so you 2CH folks don't feel left out, this could be open to those of you using bass augmentation in your rig. It depends on whether you have anything I want to listen to ;) Kidding.

    Mark:

I'd be game, only about an hour to your house. Maybe we could coordinate with one of my returns from BWI when my turn arrives.

Can I do the 2 Channel one as well?

I can probably house Nadams for a demo and any other south central PA polkies.

Beekyman and Jdhdiggs, you have been added.

James, that sounds fine but the demo will be at your house correct?

Yeah, I'd offer up my home to some of the south central PA polkies who are interested for the 2-channel or HT demo's, but my review would be in detail over several listening sessions (I hope). I'll handle logistics to and from York.

My current HT rig is a pair of LSi9's and 4 LSi7's with the SVS. The 2 Channel is the 3.3R's actively tri-amped rig for comparison to the "surprise demo".

NOTE: I'm going to close the window on this opportunity Friday 09/21/2007, so I can get this rolling for the locals. Get busy posting Polkies, or wanna-be Polkies ;) and get your hands on something not even on the open market.

I dig the RC for a sub, I can't tell you how much time I've wasted doing the listen, stand up, walk to sub, tweak and walk back to listen again routine...

Ok, two down...next up is JTGranby....where you at honcho?

Scott - I skipped you only because the first MicroPro needed to be upgraded. I'm trying to keep the logistics simple since you'll be passing it off at some point to James/Noah.

Ready in Derwood. Do you still have my Phone # or I can PM it to you to work our logistics. Does this include a free HT eval?

Well all's well but I still don't understand why Delaware is not considered local. It's only about an hour to an hour and 10minutes away.
