Rear Sub Placement

Hey gang...The direct listening area is a rectangle. My sub is located in the right rear corner of the room...next to the listening position. While sitting to the left of the sub, I find that the sound is seamelss with the fronts and rear speakers.
If I sit in our loveseat which would mean I sit in front of the sub (about 4 ft of space between)...I can hear the sub in the rear, so the sound is not so seamless. Is there a way to remedy this with my current setup?

run the sub out of phase meaning 180 out. Re test tone and calibrate. You can't get every seat in the room perfect especially the way sub bass energy outputs but you can get it close.
