My DIY Sonosub project

Bringing this back, because I'm on #2! Sold my first to Irishaz, who as far as I know is still enjoying it. But my buddy dropped out on his, so I'm taking over. Time to have some hardcore 2.1 in the bedroom!
Assembly should be completed this weekend. Changing up a few style things, but keeping it the same otherwise. -

Talk about disproportionate audio/video rigs!
In any case, it's completed. Only problem I have now is that the sub is being sent full-range signal, as my stereo receiver doesn't have a cutoff for it. Not sure what I can do about that though... -
Depends on your setup.
If you have an line level signal feeding a sub amp, use an RCA inline crossover. Partsexpress has them for maybe 5$.
If you can't do that, a passive crossover on the sub. Something like a 9 mH coil(16 gauge) and 140 uF capacitor(go cheap NP electrolytic). -
Are those the Monitor 7's you had for sale a while back? Thanks, Jeff...

Yes they are. Decided to keep them and sell the 10s instead.

And thanks Shinace, good recommendations. We'll see... I figure this is a temporary setup until I can get around to getting the basement all rigged up! (sooner rather than later hopefully!)
