Guys-
I have a mits 55 diamond series tv.
Of late I have noticed a, for lack of a better term, ghosting of white credits on dark background. Even notice this effect while watching movies where a bright image appears in a dark setting.
Is this normal?
can anything be done to stop it?
Is it going to get worse?
The tv is less than a year old.

Luc,
Are you running in interlaced or progressive scan mode? The white ghosting is a characteristic of the lower resolution of interlaced mode. Progressive scan should not have the ghosting effect you describe.
Other than than, maybe something needs adjustment or calibration on the set.Proud and loyal citizen of the Digital Domain and Solid State Country! -
I'm running a progressive scan DVD player set to progressive.
The display on the tv is set to 960.
Is there a progressive setting on the tv that needs to be set?

I went back into the tv menu and found someone had messed up all my settings.
The contrast was maxed out, the image resolution was set at 480i instead of 960i.
Image was set to video instead of film.
Once I re-set everything, the ghosting went away, perhaps to haunt someone else.
