OK,
I just wanted to say goodbuy to all of you.Alot of you have been cool to talk with.

Iv'e been thinking about it for awhile and I just see no reason to post in here anymore.I love the company and they have my full respect.I seem to make a stink around here.

Iv'e been told that if I go nobody will care, but I felt I should leave one last post......................................................................

Audio and video as I see it, has been a life long journey.I've learned alot in here and hope I helped some of you in your quest/or simple hobbie.;)

My house is 70% finished , the sub's are finished ruffing in everything so now I can start my massive prewire.Polk inwalls are going in all around the house. My house audio system will be wired to be upgradable in the future.I'm gonna start out simple with Niles and then down the road switch to Elan. The house is a great expense,I'm prepared for most of it.But the wife wants everything else completed before I start the theater..which is cool I get a couple of months to lock it all down.I agree with her fully.I'm gonna enjoy 2 channel stereo for awhile and old fashion 2 channel movie watching.I sold the rt lines I owned and the Denon receiver. So I will be left with the Lsi 15's and the Rotel 2 channel system...along with all of my sources.I'm gonna take down the bello and install the new TV stand that going in my new house...a Salamander in Cherry or walnut with silver rods.......so sexy.this stand I so perfer over the Bello. It's so much better built and so much stronger.

The Theater project remains the same....the room is going to be 15x24.A raiser will be built for the second row of theater seats.2 rows total to get started....damn things are alot of money. The video will be a Stewart Firehawk 100 or 110 depending on seating distance......more like the 10 I believe, and a Sharp DLP projector. The Audio remains the same Rotel rsp1066 preamp,RMB1090 and rb1080 power amps. The wiring will be all Transparent except some of the video will be custom rgb to the gun and some Monster video.they make real nice video cables.Source gear will be what I currently own...Pioneer Elite dv47a,Pioneer Elite CLD-59 Laser disk,Pioneer Elite PDF-19 cd and adding a HDTV Sony HD200 when it arrives.HDTV willonly be in the theater for starters untill I can get a Plasma for the livingroom.

So thats it fellas it's been real, take care!!!!!!!!!!

I wish you'd stay. Sure you're obnoxious, opinionated and judgemental, but we like you.

Liv4Fam - If Polk says you can't I don't seem to understand why you think you can. Unless you open the cabinets, rewire the XO and put in a set of 3-way terminals.

    You probably are.

You can go, but your buddy stays!

BTW, if the house is 70% finished to me, that would pretty much indicate that the drywall is already up. Hell, Ida run the wire before that.

Nope. 70% is just about right for all of the wiring to be in. The last 30% of home construction is usually finish work which includes drywall.

Doesn't matter really, if it is 70% done, and has taken, what 2 years to get that far, he's got another 6 months at least until it is complete. ;)

Under contruction schedules that am I familar with, usually when the roof goes up, thats the sign to get to wiring. In most builds, you have maybe a 10-14 day window to get it done between the roof and the rock.

But then again, I'm used to it only taking about 6 months from the intital dig, to the final walk-through (or 'threw') if you prefer.

It's sort of like Jerry Springer, you can't just ignore it. Plus, in both cases the entertainment value is pretty high.

    Mantis,

You can't leave yet!........I'm still slowly saving up for my Rotel Pre/PW amps! I estimate it will take another 3-4 months of hard saving before I have my complete 2 channel music only system. The closest thing so far from owing the equipment is having the last issue of the Rotel catalogue 2002 and the Paradigm Reference catalouge. (still deciding on the speakers)

A S said " I will not do T3 but I'll back" and he did...hey folks: if you want to bi-wire, stop the "pissing contest", call me anytime if you need decent cable. The last time when I decided to bi-wire everything, I ended up with more cable than I can handle, what a "nightmare"...

    Excellent! (Mantis)

    your back.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just wondering if there's any great difference in sound quality between the RC-1090 vs the RC-1070?

I will ( in time) probably end up with the RC-1070 because of the difference in price.......It looks like the RC-1090 can be used for DVD VIDEO?.....but money is the big factor. What do you think?

also, it looks the 2002 model(catalogue) has a little face lift.....they added some silver on the front panel vs last years catalouge 2001...where the pre is all in black.
