possible cs400i problem

I am wondering what the crossover setup is in the cs400i. I recently purchased this speaker (used) off of a private seller to match my rt800i's and I am concerned about the sound coming from the left 6.5" woofer. The right woofer seems to have richer and deeper sound while the left seems much more distant and recessed for much of the mid and lower frequencies. I can only tell this difference when I am testing them and putting my ear directly up to the speaker. From a distance, everything sounds fine.
By touching both of them simultaneously, I know both drivers are working (from touch, they feel as if they are being driven equally) and sound is being put out out by both, but I would like to know if this is a problem with the left driver possibly being damaged, or if this is how the speakers are intended to sound due to the internal crossover setup. I checked my Yamaha preamp settings and everything checked out so it's either my ears or it's my speaker.
Please let me know. Thank you.

I believe the two CS400i drivers are crossed-over to different frequencies.
The RT800i drivers both deliver the same frequencies.
The CS400i drivers overlap... but, are setup to be centered to different frequencies. Nothing is wrong with your center speaker. Thats just how it is designed. -

Thanks for your input guys. That is exactly what I was hoping. The midrange drivers on the 800i are the same frequency but I was scared about the 400i drivers because they delivered different frequencies (the right one goes lower) so I thought I'd ask. I was considering buying another driver to replace it, but I am very glad I asked here first.
From a distance the speaker sounds fantastic. So beautiful. The little cs245i I had before simply didn't cut it I'm gonna turn into a rear center channel and I'm going to try to get my hands on some older fx series or possible 600i's to complete an HT setup!
Thanks fellas. -
