Polk Monitor 5A crossover schematic and specs needed. It has peerless tweeters. I am not getting any lower to mid Freq. out of mid woofer.

Please help.

Did you check the mid and see if it was frozen?

If it is frozen you would not get and bass out of it, just high midrange.

Push on the PR and see if the mid flexes in and out.

MW6503's $48 each from Polk, will work just fine.

Or shop for the mw6500's on ebait.

I found the 6500's are alittle smoother, sound a little better.

But replace both, and either driver model will work great.

I would think the schem were the same on both 5a's and 7a's, with peerless.

I have a thread with my 7's w/ peerless. You might want to pull out the crossover and compare my schem with the 5a's crossover.

Edit: To my knowledge the only difference between the 5a's and the 7a's were the Pr size and enclosure size.

Here is a snap shot of my 7's xover. With an ugly description of crossover with values for peerless tweeter and mid.

The cap D is 34uF

I followed my original specs and rebuilt the xover, with great results.

It was a year ago. So I had alot of question as to where caps and resistors went, so excuse the idiot question in that thread...lol

Here is the schem for the 7's with peerless. I had to modify a m10 crossover in Paint...lol. Because I could not find a schem for my 7's with peerless.
