I read reviews on the official polk audio website. Just asking people on these forums who own this subwoofer and tell me what they think of it. I trust in the website and everything, just want to see who recently bought it, or thinking of purchasing it.
I was thinking of buying it to go along with my RTI 10's and probably going to buy the Rti6's and SKIP on buying the center piece CsI5.
RTi 10's
Rti 6's
Psw505
That would be my system so far, I'm on a college budget and yep...I'm loving Polk Audio.

I had the PSW505 until recently. In my opinion it's a pretty under-rated subwoofer. It's main fault is that it doesn't dig real low, but it has good output and great SQ within it's range. I also had the SVS PB10 to compare it to, and for SQ and music, the 505 was definetely the better sub. For very low bass extension for HT, the SVS PB10 was better. The PSW505 just doesn't do much wrong, great sub for the street price you can buy them for!DKG999

It's one of the few subwoofers that I would recommend, not including the current lineup(DSW 3-600/PSW111).CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

What subwoofer cables would be good for the PSW 125?
Preferably MONSTERSamsung LN52A850 (52" 1080P LCD TV) | RTi A9's (Fronts) | Csi A6(Center) | FXi A6 (Rear Surrounds) | SVS PB12-NSD (Sub) | Oppo BDP-103 | Panamax M5300-PM

Seriously? I guess if you want to get ripped off, go to your local BB or CC.
Personally, I'd grab a cable from either Monoprice or SignalCable. I believe Frank from SC will give Polk forum members a 5% discount, just ask. -
Well, I'm not expert. I just thought Monster was good. Let me know ,and if you can link me. It'd be great.Samsung LN52A850 (52" 1080P LCD TV) | RTi A9's (Fronts) | Csi A6(Center) | FXi A6 (Rear Surrounds) | SVS PB12-NSD (Sub) | Oppo BDP-103 | Panamax M5300-PM

SAve some money and buy Blue Jeans Cable subwoofer cables. The cables are priced great for what your budget likely is and will exceed their cost in performance.
-
Plus they blew my old monster cable out of the water. The Blue JEans Cable had far tighter bass with a deeper dig. Trust Monster is overpriced marketing hype.
-
Wanna find me a link? lol. The Subwoofer will be like 10-15ft away from my receiver.Samsung LN52A850 (52" 1080P LCD TV) | RTi A9's (Fronts) | Csi A6(Center) | FXi A6 (Rear Surrounds) | SVS PB12-NSD (Sub) | Oppo BDP-103 | Panamax M5300-PM

Well you said that you PREFERED Monster. No expert here either, but for some reason you were brainwashed by marketing.:)
I'll let you off on this one, but if you start asking about Bose, you might get your **** kicked.:p
Monster wire is okay cable, but you can do soo much better for the money. -
I spent along tiime looking for Cable.....and I am definately no expert. But I really Like COBALT Cable. Prices are great...Service is exceptional.....build quality looks impressive. Read some of the reviews you will find on the web about them and check out their site.

You can call Blue Jeans CS and tell them that you want to order a subwoofer cable or you can order it thru their website.
The cable you need is the one that you paste from the URL. -

I'd get the first cable listed. Connect your sub cable; plug it in the wall and calibrate. Finished. -

So I received my PSW125 and I thought everything seemed to me working perfectly until I tried to try the subwoofer out.
Everything is hooked up correctly. There's a green light for power on. I bought the BLUE JEANS SUBWOOFER cable. Put that in line in from the SUB to the Line out from the receiver (Subwoofer)
Yamaha HTR 5890 http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/productdetail.html?CNTID=200016&CTID=5000400&RLTID=1504&DETYP=RELATION Look at Back Panel. Subwoofer. WHen I try playing music, NO bass comes out.
But when the power is on, and one end is tightly on the subwoofer and I put my finger on the metal part...it makes a strong bass sound.Samsung LN52A850 (52" 1080P LCD TV) | RTi A9's (Fronts) | Csi A6(Center) | FXi A6 (Rear Surrounds) | SVS PB12-NSD (Sub) | Oppo BDP-103 | Panamax M5300-PM

I'm not sure I'm following your last post.
Are you getting bass from the sub or not?
If you are not, you might want to check your Yamaha manual and consult the set-up section. With a Harmon Kardon, the user must set-up the speaker configuration, telling the receiver its got a subwoofer and how and when to use the speaker.Do you hear that buzzing noise? -
I am not getting bass.
And I told the receiver I do have a subwoofer.Samsung LN52A850 (52" 1080P LCD TV) | RTi A9's (Fronts) | Csi A6(Center) | FXi A6 (Rear Surrounds) | SVS PB12-NSD (Sub) | Oppo BDP-103 | Panamax M5300-PM

Could it be possible the subwoofer output in my receiver is dead? !!!! Cause it can't be the power...There's a green light..Samsung LN52A850 (52" 1080P LCD TV) | RTi A9's (Fronts) | Csi A6(Center) | FXi A6 (Rear Surrounds) | SVS PB12-NSD (Sub) | Oppo BDP-103 | Panamax M5300-PM
