Whats up,
I own 2 Ipods now and found that the 2g Nano just isn't big enough. Funny I only got an Ipod for working out, Riding and what not and now I like to use it for alot more like driving in the car Instead of loading cd's. It's great I got a car adapter and it charges the Ipod as well as play it.
So now I got a 30g video Ipod and man it's killer. I can rip so much more music in and I changed it from 128 to 256. Sound quality is much better. So better sound and more music, what more could you want.

I use an iPOD for my car music as well. I bought an Alpine head unit that controls the iPOD (which sits in my glove box and is connected via a proprietary cable).

I would never want to go back to burning mix CDs for the car! :D

Wife bought me a 60 gig IPOD about a year ago and I’ve put about 2 hours on it. I really have no need for the thing. It sits here and rots. I’m either in front of a computer or my HT system all day and just don’t have a need for it. I thought I would use it more in my Lexus connected to the input jack but it sounds like crap and there’s no reason since I stuff the 6 disk dvd changer with 6 MP3 CD's that sounds much better from the cd then the IPOD.

I keep trying to come up with ways to use the thing but cant. I moved off ITUNES to WM11 for streaming to my PS3 and I dont want to maintain playlists and ratings across these different players.

In Itunes you can change the recorded bit rate. I did and noticed a much better sound quality. I love mine. I gave my 2g nano to my son and his si forming his library.

Apple is going to take over the world. There products are awesome. I love the apple phone, apple tv , Ipods and now I'm even going for a Imac computer. I in.....

Yep, I use my Zune in the truck. Granted, I bought it for my truck and in return - has never left my truck. But with those facts in mind, its great for playing music at work... 8-10 hours, never the same song... great stuff.

IPods are cool too... just sharing general MP3 player thoughts ;)
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

The sound problem is more related to having to plug the IPOD into a line in connector in the car. It creates a lot of noise. I had to jack the volume way up but it sounded like crap. I guess some guys figured out a way to make it work with expensive magnetically shielded cables in the car but its not worth it to me, the 6 disk dvd changer full of MP3 CD's has enough space. I’m picky with my car music, I need hard stuff for some reason and if it isn’t, I just skip the song. I think the newer IS (07) fixed this and you can control the IPOD through navigation.

Just give it a try. I think you'd be pleasantly surprised. I know I have been.

On the Ipod topic...Ipod and the Dared tube amp are a winner combo.
