I`ve got a Polk Audio center CS-1. Can anyone advise that if I replace the cs-1 with a Polk Audio center cs-2, would the dialogue be more defined and understood. I have a 5.1 Yamaha receiver with Polk M-30 mains and Polk R15 rears. The room is approximately 20x20 which includes a kitchen area. My listening position is 15 feet away from the TV and the front speakers, including the center. All the speakers have been matched, but when playing a movie, I need to put the captions on to understand the dialogue. This may be a dumb post, but I can use some expert advice.:)

I can tell you right now the CS1 is too small for that size room. Also the 30's as mains is too small.

Not saying that they are bad speakers (buy any means) but for the size room you have, they are not the right speakers.

I had the CS1 a couple of years back, I bought the m40's and tried one of those as a center, helped alittle, but not satisfied until, I built my own, which would probably compare to the CSi5 (in current models)

The 40's and the CS2 are about the same. But I would spend the extra hundred and get the CSi5. Or look for something comparable on ebay or here.
