Newb question about impedence.

When I first got my 9's I ran them with a 75 wpc Yamaha and, although they sounded better and clearer than my old LS50's, they were still kind of dull and flat. Then, when I hooked them up to my new Anthem MCA 3 amp using the Yamaha pre outs, they sounded great.....like taking a blanket off them. And, I don't play them real loud, but still hear a major improvement. And, they are supper clear and sharp for movies too. I don't think anyone will dispute the value of using separates for the LSI series.
+1000 - We pretty much can share the same experience with our Integra 6.5 (which is @8ohm 105wpc x7, @6ohm 125wpc x7). They sounded like they had a muffler on them. As soon as we added high current power to them, they were literally like different speakers. Perhaps we could say that you may run them off your $200 sony receiver, but for BEST results feed them 200 watts per channel from a committed amplifier. Just our experience, which is very similar to other LSi owners.
