XRt12 Remote Codes

I am looking to connect my XRt12 XM Receiver to a Slingbox to be able to stream XM to my Palm Treo 650. It actually works well...but I can't set up the remote control. It is basically like setting up a universal remote control. Can someone tell me if the IR remote control shares its remote control codes with any other device?
