FS: Modified Oppo DV-970HD

Like new, no marks or scratches. It is fully dynamatted inside, including transport drive. (Done by me, very nice workmanship.). The unit has about 10 hours play on it. Comes packaged as I received from Oppo complete with box, remote, oppo bag, hdmi cable, manual etc.

Only reason for selling is I want to try the new DV-980H for comparison. No biggie... :)

    Now, you know, this thing has electronic buttons, a display thingy and won't even play at 33 1/3 speed. As a matter of fact, it won't even accept 45's... :)

    It doesn't even have a spindle per se???? I hope with all the Dynamatting the Marigo disc will be able to seat properly.

    For a CD? Didn't know if the question was serious but no clearance was lost from the disc to the top of the drive. :)

    No, no, no...you got it all wrong. The hammer is for beating the **** out of that clamp thingy you use to try to get the vinyl to sound better. Is that possible!!!! :eek:

    I like to turn on my turntable and watch colored light dance around in the thick acrylic platter while I listen to my SACD player. :)

    I got dibs on HearingImpaired's record player if he puts it up on the FM.

    Don't want to go over $200, though (shipped).

    That's a pretty fair price, I think, for a record player.

    I try CD's every now and then. It helps enhance my appreciation for good ole vinyl.
