Got it and set it up. This thing is awesome. One stupid question - the screen stays on with the Harmony logo on it all the time. Is it supposed to do this or does it shut off? I am wondering about battery life if it stays on.

Shawn,
You should be able to edit the screen display time in the software during setup on your computer. It's typically a 15 second delay, and is adjustable from 5sec to continuous, I'm pretty sure. -
Dane,
That adjustment is for the backlight or glow. Thanks, though. I just got off of the phone with them. One guy said it should go off after I updated the remote; the other person said that it is an "always on" feature that never goes off. I'll go with it being an "always on" feature unless someone else chimes in to tell me otherwise.

Hmm...mine goes off after about 10 seconds or so. It's always been that way, too.Richard? Who's your favorite Little Rascal? Alfalfa? Or is it........................Spanky?.................................Sinner.

Mine 880 turns off after 20 seconds. I remember seeing an adjustment for the delay in the Harmony software. I would think Always On would really eat batteries.

Thanks for the heads up bro, even at $60 it's a killer deal, I just ordered one for my parents.If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent. -
This model has been dicontiued - thats why its so cheap.
For $50 - $60 its still a great deal IMO. I also have a Harmony 659 and, for the most part, I like tht 676 better. The rubber grip is great, colored faceplates are neat, and I prefer the layout of the buttons on the 676. I do, however, prefer the buttons themselves on the 659 over those on the 676.
Like Ron-P I might just order another one for my parents.Audio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro

Just e-mailed Amazon and they are sending a replacement. Unfortunately, it isn't in stock anymore so I have to wait awhile for a replacement. I'll just keep the other one until I get the new one. It's a great remote - I was surprised to find that it controlled all of my Oppo 981 functions being that Oppo is not a very well known or distributed brand.

I was more surprised to find that they had the info for Jolida, InnerSound, and Sheng Ya
I did have to use the RAW learing mode to force the remote to learn some commands from the VTL despite it already being in their database.Audio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro

This just in.....after talking with Harmony top level support, they informed me that the 676 LCD display stays on all the time. The guy assured me that this was the way it was supposed to operate.

Do you mean the display itself? Yes, that is always on, but the backlight should shut off after a set amount of time. -
Yes, tha's what I meant from the beginning. I guess I wasn't very clear. I just found it odd that the LCD would have the display on constantly figuring it would kill the battery life.

I have a diffent model, the 520, I have had it for 16 months now. I just changed the batteries for the second time last week. 8 months a set is not bad.
