I like vintage speakers and I am thinking of buying some nice condition Polk SDA SRS speakers. Are these very good or should I look for something else? Would 7 hundred be too much to pay for them? Sorry I am really in the dark here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

grab them and do not look back. They are hard to find and that is way below value.

They will require a high current amplifier. That is a good price.

They are great. They are excellent when properly modified and used with appropriate amplification and source components. You should evaluate your sonic requirements against the capabilities of the speakers.

If the speakers are in good condition, $700 is a steal. I paid $1400 for a near mint pair with original boxes, and I considered that to be a steal. You should do some research on past threads. This will give you an idea of what questions to ask and what things to listen and look for when evaluating the speakers.
