Now that I am a new Polk fan, I need advice on what surround & center channel speakers to put with the LSI9s.
Currently, I have a Definitive Tech 500 watt sub that is more than adequate. My neighbor 1 block over can feel that sub when I play Pearl Harbor.:)

Any advice would be just greeeaat.

Really not a lot of choice. Only one LSi center, the LSiC. I have been really impressed with it so far, as I just converted my HT to LSi's. I would go with LSiFX for the side surrounds. They are really nice. I am using FXi5's as my rears (because I had them and they were on the walls already!) and they seem to blend pretty well with the LSi's. Not sure it would be worth it to go to LSi7's in the rear since I already have the FXi5's.

Currently, i have a Denon AVR 3400 with no external amp. It seems to push everything pretty seamlessly. I am still using the M&K center and rears until I can sell them. I like the looks of the LSiC & LSiFX 5s. I think that is my best bet.

    btw,
how can I list all my toyz in my sig the way you cool guys do it?

you should invest in a solid external amp to push all those babies. They require lot's of power since they are 4 ohm speakers.
    58" Samsung Plasma (on wall)(calibrated)
    LSi15's front (modded xo's)
    LSic center
    LSiFX's sides
    LSi7's rears
Sunfire Sig. 600 amp for 15's
    Sunfire Sig. Cinema for C,S&R
    Sony ES 3000 pre/pro
SVS 2039 PC Plus sub 12.3 (16hz tune)
    PS3
    Wii
    Signal and Audioquest ic's
    12 awg monster speaker-cable (bi-wired)
    Belkin PF60 power conditioner
    Monster power conditioner for sub

Agreed. Before you go and get the rest of the LSi line, get a good 5 channel amp. Use the Denon as a pre or get a matching Pre. This is the best thing to do before going Lsi.

Or get an AVR with a real amp section  I have been experimenting with my B&K AVR 507 and the Outlaw M200/Parasound 1500/Adcom 7705/Marsh A200/Parasound 1000 power amps I have. At any sane listening level, using the LSi9's, LSiC, LSiFX, FXi5 system I have now, other than the different sound qualities of the amps, which I am very familier with, I would challenge you to tell the difference. I spent a few hours switching them out with the LSi9's using a couple of favorite movie scenes. You would need to be in a very large room, pushing them hard, for the difference between 120 wpc and 200 wpc + to make a real difference. I would buy your external amp based on sound qualities that you like and match your speakers, rather than based on sheer wpc. Dynamic power and high current reserves are also important. Your mileage may vary, all stunts performed by professionals, don't try this at home :)

The surprising thing is that my NAD C720BEE receiver at 50 wpc with lots of dynamic power really sounded good for music with the LSi9's.
