I figured that... but he owns a truck. It had me confused. I had it in my head it was more of an IB style setup where you would mount it on the back dash (lack of car terms here) of a car.

edit: HAHAHA.... sorry I'm a bit slow tonight. It was more of a pants-on type question.

I'm heartily offended by your choice in subwoofer.

However, I will give you 6 months to try out the basslink, hate it, and opt for a similarly priced alternative.

oh poo poo on that -- you can throw an 8 and a 250 w amp in any truck on the market -- even a standard cab toyota tacoma from back in the day with zero room behind the seat.

me thinx he can do a pimpin 10 @ 400 w without a problem. just takes a little engenuity

I also say you should intall it yourself Sid. Ive seen your handy work and youre much more talented a craftsman than I am and I can manage a basic install without any fires....at least any big fires.

Those DB's - for 129.99 are absolutely amazing.

I'm very satisfied with their performance...

Car Audio shop - not so much... but in the end after all was said and done - they did a good job.

Glad to hear you like them! All that really matters is that you're satisfied. I'm sure they'll sound better after they break-in also.

Yep - once the sub arrives

    Will round it off nicely.

They had zero bass response.... which isnt why I bought them --- I bought them for the mids and highs.

They arnt the most detailed - but they are pretty clear and vibrant... cant go wrong with that...

    I am impressed.

    Yeah ---

If my truck had a good factory system --- I wouldnt of gotten into at all.

The speakers in my truck and the wiring was pretty shot...

    So....

The DB's sound darn good, definitely need a sub to tame those highs those. Jesus.

    Hmm...

Somehow I turned on the "Loudness" function on my headunit when I first got it and never really took the time to figure out how to turn it off... lol

So I took the time tonight to go through the manual and turn it off and it sounds a million times better. Also went in and set the high pass to 80hz... - really cleaned up the "cone cry" at higher volumes...

    This sucks...

The shipper made it where someone had to be here to sign for this effing subwoofer....

I'll have the house covered the entire day except 11:30 to 1 oclock...

And I am going to be annoyed if they try to deliver the package during that time period! Grrrrr
