Hello,
This is so great to have help like this. Anyway, the sub is making a strange (rattle) vibration in the center. It is a new and different, the hook up has been the same for several years. It's a Yamaha reciever(5 years old) with monster 2into1 cable connecting the two into the single (subwoof)connection on the reciever.
I took it apart to see if I could see anything visable, found nothing. Any suggestions? If it can't be troubleshooted over the web, can I take it to the service center in SD directly?
I'm trying to conserve $$$ so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
FF

Hello,
Yes you can contact the San Diego service center directly at 1-888-267-5495 for bringing your sub-woofer in for service.
Regards, Ken -
Any thoughts on the problem?

Hello,
From your description I would guess it to be a blown woofer.
Regards, Ken -
Could a blown amp be causing the prob, I know thats pricey?

PS Thanks for your help!

Sounds like you have doubts in regards to what to do...
Contact customer service and/or let them take a look at it first. I'm sure they'll do anything they can to get your sub up and running as cost effectively as possible.. or maybe even better.
Polk customer service rocks. -
Just re-glue the spider to the metal frame. It happened to mine and was an easy fix.

Thx for suggestions Austin. What's a spider?
I don't think I need to re glue anything, everything seems to be solid.
