It's not about how many watts the amp produces, it's about how well the amp can produce one watt.System:

Color me predictable...
And yes -- God forbid I have an interest in purchasing something from the FS classifieds. I figure that, as the owner of Monitor 50's and a CS1 (all of which I hope to replace w/ a CSi5 and RTi12's), and 2 pair of Fxi5's, I probably deserve some semblance of leeway.
But I welcome your derision... -
If you'd like, I can start a thread entitled 'so what's up w/ speaker impedances?' and act like an idiot for a few pages in order to seem more 'genuine.'
I'm sure you guys would consider such an effort more legit... -

You could always make amends by posting some cat pictures.
BTW, what is up with speaker impedance ?Sal Palooza -

I have seen this happen many times, and ive also seem guys who attempt to get 25 posts in a single day only so they can post there crap for sale.
Be honest its easy and people will respect you for it.
REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -

I'm a dog guy. I have a strict no-cat-pics policy. -
You might actually say in a thread that you are interested in purchasing some speakers in the FS thread and need x amount of posts to pm someone. And most likely someone will see that, respect it more than making a bunch of worthless posts and offer to pm that person for you.

Understandable. I thought about it, but figured that starting/derailing an entire thread w/ it would be doing the forum a disservice (albeit, I think we've pretty much hit that point now for this particular thread, thanks to the reaction to my approach).
Listen, I'm a long-time member over at AVS and Audiogon, and I know there are quirks to everything, but I just wanted to try to be as unobtrusive as possible.
Unfortunately, that didn't quite work out... -
Apologies to the thread starter.

No biggie on this thread. Were you able to get in touch with the person you wanted to pm? if not I will send a pm for you, and you can continue to enjoy the forum. It looks like you are an audiophile that only wants to better his system rather than rip someone off with a quick sale of overpriced goods. REGARDS SNOW
Thanks for the offer, but I was able to pm him. Of course, he seemed to state in his thread that he would only sell his amp to someone w/ 50 posts. So my efforts will likely be fruitless anyway, as I was most certainly NOT planning on getting 50 posts in one or two nights.
But it's a GREAT amp at a great price, and it would free me up to get the new Integra 9.8 pre/pro when it comes out in a couple of weeks. Just thinking about that amp w/ that pre/pro gives me warm-n-fuzzies...
So, I fully expect to fail, but such is life. -
What, no cat pictures!?!

Also, How did you calibrate your speakers? Try the manual method using a SPL meter. My 2012 HT Room - http://www.avsforum.com/t/1416077/bsoko2-new-ht-june-2012

Hello gurus,
Got the Outlaw 7500 last week and she's heavy. The back looked awesome. Now I believe what you pay is what you get is still applied. I did gain more volume and of course it was better than 7075; bass got deeper, movie was amazing, and surround sound was clearer. I'm thinking if I get better A/V or the matching Pre/Amp, my HT will be at the next level. My dear friends, should I get the matching Pre/Processor in this case it will be the Outlaw 990, or different vendor, or better Receiver? Let me know which vendor is the best for Pre/Pro and Receiver?
Thank you and God bless your HT. -

Give yourself some time and enjoy your new amp. There will always be chances to upgrade. Your Sony receiver is not bad as a pre-amp, but there are other options that may give you better overall sound quality. Most pre-amps/processors in the same class as your amp will give you better dynamics, control, and features. There are tons of manufacturers out there to check out, and Outlaw is a good one if you want your stuff to match. Try searching around here and see what everyone else has already used and said.
Soon you'll be ready for a speaker upgrade to the LSi line.
Congrats on the new amp, and enjoy. -
