Depends on the Ipod you have I guess. Do you want built in GPS, or GPS available as an option? The Pioneer AVIC-D3 or AVIC-Z2 might fit the bill, or the Clarion MAX675VD with the outboard NAX nav. Lots of options.

I have the Alpine IVA-W205 and its ipod isn't horrible. It takes a second or two for text info when you hit next (annoying), but artist/song searching isn't bad. Plus it has DVD out of the box and you can dock a blackbird II navi (when it is released) inside the HU when in the car or eject it to take it with you when you leave the car.

To some degree, it depends on the Ipod you are using (I'm using a Video ipod straight into a DEHP6900UB for example and its lightning quick, but it goes straight into the USB, as opposed to using the IB100II Ipod adaptor).

So, the answer might vary depending on what Ipod you are using.

The Pioneer DEH-P6900UB is perfect for what you want. It features direct USB control of the iPod and is much quicker than a conventional HU using a iPod adapter.

I may just end up building a PC for the car and running it off a 7" touchscreen and having all my music on the PC, i just am curious about the sound quality if i do that, and how it would be best to connect it to my amps.
