Hello everyone. I have a pair of LSi15 speakers that are connected to a Denon 3802 amp. The right speaker-subwoofer, it is ommiting this creaking/static sound when low base frequencies are being pushed through the speaker. Any idea what is the problem...it is driving me nuts!!!

did the problem just begin? check to make sure the woofer is ok... remove any grill that covers the woofer and gently push on the woofer with your receiver turned off.. and see if it makes any scratchy or static noise.

Thank you all for your responses and input.....

When I push against that woofer it is definitely making a strange sound as compare when I push against the woofer that is ok, it is virtually silent.

So what does that mean? What are my options?

I bought those speakers from Acoustic Sound Design so I am sure there is no
    warranty.

Do I take the speaker to a repair shop?

Thank you so much for your help.

Contact polk customer service and see what they can do.

A new woofer shouldn't cost much, and you can swap it out on your own.

it sounds like the voice coil in the woofer has gone bad.. as phuz said... you're looking at having to purchase a new woofer for that speaker. call Polk customer service and tell them first off that you are a Club Polk member, and you will get a discount on the price of the replacement woofer.

Thank you gentlemen...I just ordered my new sub-woofer so I will be good to go.

I need additional opinions. I was not exactly happy about the sound being produced by my Denon A/V on those LSi15's. It did not sound full to me, could I be missing out on a particular setting on that Denon? Or do I need a
amplifer to give the sound I am looking for? I can afford a amp in the $500.00 range if that is the case.
